My day job (well, one of them, anyway) is as editor of the Folklore and Mythology Archive, which brings old folklore collections and cookbooks back into print. Fans of Scottish culture might be interested in this most recent title, a facsimile edition of Recipes of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Here's a brief description: "Originally published by the Highland Association as The Feill Cookery Book in 1907, Recipes of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland is a delectable collection of Gaelic recipes passed down through generations of Scottish families—most are even identified with the name of the original contributor. From soup to nuts, you’ll be sure to find a new favorite recipe within these pages."
